Thank you for your interest in commissioning an original watercolor from Sophia A Khan. We look forward to creating a bespoke work of art for you and your home. Please see the below information, which addresses the FAQs, and outlines the terms and conditions for commissioning a watercolor.

Pricing*

Current Pricing is as follows:

· 8” x 10” ( 20.3 x 25.4 cm ) $500

· 11” x 14” (27.9 x 35.6 cm) $670

Pricing for larger sizes available upon request.

Sophia A Khan is located in New York state. NY State and local sales tax will be collected for products being shipped within the state of NY.

Cost of domestic shipping and handling within the USA, which includes tracking and insurance, is $20. If your painting will be shipped outside the USA, please inform us prior to booking, so that we may calculate and inform you of the shipping charges.**

A deposit for half the cost of the commission is required for bookings. The remaining balance + shipping charges are due upon completion of the watercolor, prior to shipment. We will email you a private link to view the watercolor, once it is complete.

In the event that we do not receive the final payment for the commission, the finished watercolor will remain the property of artist, and it may be offered for sale to others. All deposits and payments made to the artist are non refundable.

Timeframe / Process

Current time frames for painting watercolors, once the deposit and the reference photograph ***, are received are as noted below:

2 - 4 weeks for 8” x 10”
3 - 6 weeks for 11” x 14”

Early on in the process, we will email you a private link to view a small sample watercolor, for your approval. This will give you a good idea of what the final watercolor will look like to assure that the final piece will be to your liking.

Pricing includes (1) small sample watercolor to be viewed by you online. Should you like to see additional sample watercolors, prior to my painting the final piece, these will be charged at $50 each. Please note that requests for additional sample watercolors may also increase the timeframe for completion.

Materials, Copyright, & COA

All copyrights, including the right to reproduce, remain solely with the artist, Sophia A Khan.

We use only superior quality artist grade materials for our watercolors, so you can be assured of the professional and archival quality of the finished painting.

You will receive a beautifully designed, signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity with the watercolor, from the artist, which will state the painting's specifications, originality, and provenance.

**International shipping addresses may be subject to additional customs fees, for which the buyer will be responsible.

***If you are submitting a reference travel photograph, you certify that the photograph is yours, that you own the copyright, and that having a watercolor painted based on that photograph will not infringe on any copyrights laws or rights.
